Dell Children's Medical Center of Central Texas
On June 30, 2007, Dell Children's Medical Center of Central Texas opened its doors as one of the most advanced state-of-the-art children's hospitals in the U.S. It is home to more than 1,000 employees serving a 46-county region, and is a leader in environmentally sound building practices including efficient use of sunlight, local building materials, electricity and water conservation and recycling. These efforts and others are keeping Dell Children's on track to achieve "platinum" designation under the Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) program sponsored by the U.S. Green Building Council. Other impressive stats include:
- 475,000 total square feet
- 170 patient beds
- 32 emergency center treatment/exam rooms
- 16 imagings rooms
- 5 courtyards each representative of a Central Texas ecosystem
- 5 family lounges
- 1 Healing Garden with a labryrinth, human sundial, reflecting pond and bridge
Dell Children's contains a number of other new features including a therapy pool, outpatient motor gyms, a cardiac cath lab, an intermediate care wing, a clinical laboratory, an inpatient rehad program, an education and a conference center, a helipad, a dining room/cafeteria, a sibling play area and more.

Seton Headquarters
The Seton Family of Hospitals will make Mueller the home of its consolidated administrative headquarters. Catellus will develop the 156,000 square foot office building to be constructed on 3.25 acres south of the Dell Children's Medical Center. The building is part of a planned mixed-use project for the area that will include residences adjacent to the Northwest Greenway. Seton anticipates relocating between 650 and 750 employees in departments such as administrative leadership, human resources, facilities, advocacy and planning to the new offices.

SEDL
SEDL is a private non-profit organization that performs educational research. Its mission includes creating and providing products and services to improve teaching and learning. SEDL stands for Southwest Educational Development Laboratory.
Their new LEED Silver certified building located on Mueller Boulevard will house 110 employees and includes unique features such as an education research library, outdoor classrooms with wireless access, office hoteling spaces for visiting scholars, a 956-square-foot demonstration science and technology classroom/laboratory and more.

Strictly Pediatrics
Strictly Pediatrics Subspecialty Center is now open just north of Dell Children's along Barbara Jordan Boulevard. The physician-owned, 127,000 square foot, LEED-certified, multiple specialty building includes imaging, infusion, ambulatory surgery and dialysis centers, as well as a laboratory, orthotics and prosthetics and an 18,000 square foot surgery center.

The University of Texas Health Research Campus
The Dell Pediatric Research Institute
The Dell Pediatric Research Institute, which will be a part of the College of Natural Sciences at The University of Texas at Austin and is being funded in part by the Michael and Susan Dell Foundation, is beginning to take hold at Mueller. In January, UT broke ground on the biomedical research facility. Substantial completion on the entire building is expected by the end of 2008 with the institute open for business in early 2009.
Once completed, the building will be approximately 150,000 square feet with approximately 350 employees. The University of Texas is currently in the process of recruiting a director for the institute.
